1. Introduction

 

Welcome to Atlantic Home Services LLC. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our services, including pressure washing, soft washing, gutter cleaning, window cleaning, holiday light installation, and any other services we provide. By hiring our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms.

 

2. Services 

 

We provide pressure washing, soft washing, gutter cleaning, window cleaning services, holiday light installation, and more. Our team will perform the services specified in your order form or agreement with the utmost care and professionalism. 

 

3. Estimates and Pricing

 

3.1. All estimates provided are based on the information given by the customer. If upon inspection, the scope of work changes, we reserve the right to adjust the price accordingly.

3.2. Prices are subject to change based on market conditions and other factors. The final price will be confirmed before service begins.

 

4. Payment

 

4.1. Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

4.2. We accept various forms of payment including cash, checks, and major credit cards. 

4.3. Late payments may incur additional fees as specified below. 

4.4. A late fee of 1.5% per month (18% annually) will be applied to all overdue balances not paid within 14 days of the invoice date.

 

5. Cancellation and Rescheduling

 

5.1. Cancellations or rescheduling requests must be made at least 24 hours in advance.

5.2. Failure to provide sufficient notice may result in a cancellation fee up to 50% of the service cost.

5.3. We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel services due to weather conditions, equipment failure, or other unforeseen circumstances.

 

6. Access to Property

 

6.1. The customer must ensure safe and clear access to the work areas.

6.2. Any pets should be secured, and all valuables should be removed from the work areas.

6.3. We are not responsible for damage or loss due to restricted access or obstructions.

6.4. We are not responsible for any damages to valuables that are not stored correctly. Please ensure all valuable items are properly secured before our services begin.

 

7. Removal & Replacement of Deck Contents

 

7.1. The homeowner is responsible for removing and replacing grills, deck furniture, planters, and any other items on the deck. If we need to remove these items, we will not be liable for any damage, breakage, or storage issues.

7.2. Extra charges may apply for the time and labor required to remove these items.

 

8. Liability

 

8.1. We are insured for the services we provide. Any damage directly caused by our negligence will be addressed by our insurance policy.

8.2. We are not liable for pre-existing conditions or damage resulting from these conditions.

8.3. We are not responsible for damage to items or surfaces that were not disclosed or are not intended to be cleaned by our services.

 

9. Damages

 

9.1. Atlantic Pressure Washing  is not responsible for damages resulting from improperly installed siding, loose shingles or siding, broken or open windows, improperly sealed windows and doors, wood rot, defective construction, improperly secured wires, loose or improperly installed gutters and leaders, or improper caulking.

9.2. In cases involving aluminum and some vinyl siding, exposure to sun and weather can bleach the color or cause fading. Soft washing or pressure washing, which removes chalky, gritty, or failing surface materials, may make these faded areas more noticeable. Atlantic Pressure Washing  will not be held responsible for such conditions. 

9.3. Additionally, Atlantic Pressure Washing will not be responsible for loose mortar that may dislodge during the cleaning process.

 

10. Stains

 

10.1. Some stains cannot be removed by soft washing or pressure washing. Tree sap, artillery fungus, splatters from stains and paints are examples of materials that cannot be removed by conventional means. 

10.2. We make every attempt to point these areas out to the customer when quoting the project. Sometimes these stains cannot be removed at all. 10.3. Atlantic Pressure Washing  cannot guarantee the removal of artillery fungus, tree sap, paint or stain, etc from exterior house surfaces.

 

11. Watertight

 

11.1 Atlantic Pressure Washing  expects your property to be in good repair and weather-tight, including all doors, windows, electrical services, receptacles, and light fixtures. 

11.2. Atlantic Pressure Washing is not responsible for damages resulting from water infiltration due to poor or improper installation, maintenance, or repair of electrical items, doors, or windows. 

 

12. Property Cleanliness Requirement/Animal Waste Policy

 

12.1. To ensure a safe and hygienic work environment, the property must be free of animal waste prior to our scheduled service.

12.2. Inspection and Right to Decline Work: Upon arrival, our team will inspect the property. If animal waste is present, we reserve the right to decline the scheduled work. 

12.3. In such cases, a rescheduling fee of 30% of the job cost will be charged to cover the costs associated with the disruption.

12.4. Rescheduling Fee: Should work be declined due to the presence of animal waste, the rescheduling fee of 30% of the job must be paid before a new appointment is confirmed. This fee covers the time and resources lost due to the initial appointment's cancellation.

12.5. Cleaning Fee: If our equipment becomes contaminated with animal waste during the service, a cleaning fee of up to $100 will be charged to cover the cost of cleaning and sanitizing the equipment. This fee will be added to the final invoice.

12.6. By scheduling our services, you agree to these terms and ensure that the property is properly maintained to meet these cleanliness standards.

 

13. Customer Obligations

 

13.1. The customer is responsible for informing us of any fragile or delicate items that require special care.

13.2. The customer agrees to provide access to water and electricity as needed for the services.

13.3. The customer must inform us of any safety hazards or concerns prior to the commencement of work.

 

14. Moss, Lichen, and Other Organic Growth Removal

 

14.1. Scope of Service: Moss, lichen, and other organic growth removal is not included in the basic roof washing service. It is considered an additional service.

14.2. Additional Charges: Moss removal is offered at an extra charge starting at $0.35 per square foot of moss removed. Pricing may vary based on the extent and severity of the growth.

14.3. Completion and Effectiveness: Due to the nature of the soft washing process and our commitment to protecting your roof, we do not use high pressure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee 100% removal of moss, lichen, and other organic growths on the day of the wash. Any remaining moss, lichen, or other organic matter will turn white when treated with our roof cleaning solution. These remnants will become dry and brittle over time and will naturally fall off on their own.

14.4. Customer Acknowledgement: By agreeing to the moss removal service, the customer acknowledges and accepts that complete removal of moss and other growths is not guaranteed due to the low-pressure washing method. The customer understands that any remaining moss, lichen, or other growths that turn white will dry out and fall off over time without causing harm to the roof.

14.5.. Service Agreement: The customer agrees to the additional charges for moss removal and accepts the terms regarding the potential incomplete removal and subsequent natural deterioration of the remaining growths. Any changes in price will be agreed upon before the start of the job.

14.6. By agreeing to these terms and conditions, the customer consents to the scope, additional charges, and nature of the moss removal service as outlined above.

 

15. Satisfaction Guarantee

 

15.1. We strive to provide the highest quality services. If you are not satisfied with the service provided, please contact us within 48 hours of completion.

15.2 We will make all reasonable efforts to resolve any issues to your satisfaction.

 

16. Privacy

 

16.1.We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, and protect your information.

 

17. Governing Law

 

17.1. These Terms are governed by and constructed in accordance with the laws of Rhode Island and  Massachusetts. Any disputes arising out of or related to these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Rhode Island.

 

18. Amendments

 

18.1. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website or notifying you directly.
